That same afternoon. The twenty-second floor of the H.R TOWER, New York.

"Just a little farther this way. Yes, right there!"

At Charlotte Bennett's wave, the delivery crew moved the sofa toward the windows.

The desks, chairs and conference tables had been arriving since morning, and as they found their places, the empty floor was beginning to look like an office.

Charlotte stepped back a few paces and checked the overall layout.

"That's good. Thank you for your hard work."

After years at a Wall Street real estate firm, she knew several furniture companies she'd dealt with as vendors.

Yesterday she'd called around a few of them to check what could ship immediately, and since morning she'd had the pieces delivered to the office in staggered time slots.

Asked whose taste the furniture should suit, Charlotte had answered without a moment's hesitation.

After all, wasn't she the one who'd be sitting here the longest?

Once the last of the delivery crew left, the whole twenty-second floor fell quiet.

Charlotte set her bag on the new desk and walked over to the window.

The East River she'd seen from the residential penthouse was visible from here, too.

It was only a little lower, and the view along the river was as gorgeous as ever.

"The chief's office……."

Standing at the window, Charlotte looked over the whole office. There was one desk.

There were plenty of conference chairs, but no staff to sit in on a meeting with her.

Even so, she couldn't stop grinning.

It was a position settled only yesterday evening, over dinner. Ha Tae-ung wanted her to take charge of H.R America Holdings.

After explaining what the company would be doing, he'd left everything to her, from setting up the office to hiring staff.

Not even a full day after she'd accepted the post, he'd handed her the whole of the chief's job.
