Jeong-cheol Choi came into the meeting room with the TF team.

The team members looked wound tight.

In front of them, side by side, sat the kind of people you might lay eyes on once in an entire career. No wonder they were nervous.

Seong-ho Kim studied the team standing before him, his face hard.

It was a team built from the aces of every Sector.

Handset engineering, design, semiconductors, displays — the best each Sector had stood in front of Seong-ho, waiting for orders.

Point these people in the right direction, and they can build it.

With aces like these, he only had to point them the right way. He was sure they could build the thing that had shaken the world in his past life.

Seong-ho looked at the team and put a question to them.

"What did you take away from this CES?"

Team Leader Mun answered for the team.

"That it was full of things that were all too alike."

The first answer alone seemed to satisfy Seong-ho, and he motioned for Team Leader Mun to go on.

Mun began to tell him what he and the team had talked over before coming in.

"It was even worse in phones. They all claim to be different, but they all look alike and do the same things. A few products looked special, but when it came to what a phone is actually for, I felt they were all the same."

"You saw it exactly."

Still pleased, Seong-ho turned to Team Leader Mun.

"Then how would you make something different, Team Leader Mun?"

"If it were me…"

Il-su Mun, the man in charge of the TF team, fell silent, thinking.

It was the problem he'd been wrestling with ever since the team was formed on Seong-ho's orders.

But wrestling with it hadn't brought him an answer.

Il-su gave a small shake of his head.

"The truth is, I still don't know which direction we'd have to take to put out something distinctive — something different from every other phone."

He hung his head like a man found guilty.
