"What are you doing?"
Sang-jong Lee eyed Jeong-eun Lee, standing in front of the mirror, as if she'd lost her mind.
She couldn't tell him to mind his own business the way she had Chang-jong Lee. Instead she turned around and smiled at him.
"There'll be photos, won't there? Those photos could be around for ten years, a hundred years, like an heirloom. I have to look good in them."
"Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?"
Sang-jong gave her an exasperated look, put a hand on Chang-jong's shoulder and sat down.
"Still not interested?"
"I…"
The question was for Chang-jong, but it was Jeong-eun who answered, nearly in a fit.

"Well, isn't it? I say I'll go, and they keep asking what Chang-jong wants and acting like they don't like it. If that isn't sex discrimination, what is it?"
Jeong-eun raised her voice, the veins standing out on her neck.
Sang-jong looked up at her from the sofa, exasperated.
"It's not sex discrimination. It's that you don't know the North."
"What don't I know?"
"The only time you've been north was the one trip I got you on. How are they supposed to trust you?"
"Then what about Chang-jong? Has Chang-jong been up there a lot or something?"
Chang-jong sighed.
