Jeong-eun Lee said not a word even after they reached Solar Group's Chairman's office.
Sang-jong Lee only watched her, smiling and smiling.
Chang-jong Lee looked back and forth between Jeong-eun Lee, who said nothing, and Sang-jong Lee, who only grinned. In the end he could not hold out, and he spoke first.
"What happened? Did the talks go well?"
"Ask her."
Sang-jong Lee jerked his chin toward Jeong-eun Lee: ask her. Chang-jong Lee found that strange, and looked at him, and then turned his head toward Jeong-eun Lee.
"Sister. Did the talking go well?"
"Where did you say Eldest Brother is now?"
She had been asked whether the trip had gone well, and Jeong-eun Lee came straight back asking where Mun-jong Lee was.
What on earth was the matter with the pair of them — Chang-jong Lee turned that look on Sang-jong Lee for a moment, and answered.
"He is at Seoul Detention Center……. Why do you ask?"
"Seoul Detention Center? Good. Come with me tomorrow."
"Come with you? Where?"
"Where do you think? Seoul Detention Center. Why can you not follow what I say?"
Chang-jong Lee had done nothing but hold it in until then, and at Jeong-eun Lee's scolding he finally blew.
"Now look. A thing has to be said plainly before anyone can follow it or not follow it. I did not go to the North with you, Sister, so how am I supposed to know?"
"Chang-jong has the right of it there."
Sang-jong Lee, smiling and smiling, took Chang-jong Lee's side.
"You should have told him how you found it up there first, and brought up the detention center after that."
Sang-jong Lee had not stopped smiling. He waved a hand at Jeong-eun Lee to say she should hurry up and let them hear how the trip had gone, and Jeong-eun Lee, with the annoyance thick on her face, opened her mouth.
"Do you really not know? Is that why you are asking?"
"Then I am asking because I do not know. If I knew……."
"All right. All right — my saying so should settle it."
