"Congratulations. It's gone the way you wanted it, Brother."

Sang-jong Lee forced out a laugh and said,

"Well, I knew long ago it would come out like this. Isn't Brother the eldest son? Of course the eldest son takes over the company."

He was saying it was only right that Mun-jong Lee should take it over, and everyone in the room knew he didn't mean a word of it.

Because everyone in the room knew which of them had wanted the next Chairman's seat at Ilhyeon most, and it was Sang-jong Lee.

But he talked as though none of it touched him.

"We're satisfied with the Solar Group. Chang-jong, isn't that so?"

"Sorry? Yes. Well… it's going well, after all."

The question came at Chang-jong Lee out of nowhere from Sang-jong Lee, and he agreed that it was.

Sang-jong Lee went on and on about how well his own company was doing.

"The price of polysilicon has gone up a lot lately. So we're taking a large profit on polysilicon as well. And you have no idea how good relations with the North are. The preparations for building the second plant are going ahead without any trouble, and talks about putting up a third and a fourth manufacturing plant are under way."

Sang-jong Lee thumped his chest with his palm and said,

"Even the Ministry of Unification is busy watching my face. It's got to the point where they ask me to put in a good word for the government when I go to the North."

Sang-jong Lee threw his chest wide open and boasted about how high he had climbed.

Then he raised the hand that had been thumping his chest, held it out and said,

"I have my hands full with Solar alone. Solar is growing so fast it frightens me, and that means staying on my toes. So Chang-jong and Jeong-eun and I are fine."

Sang-jong Lee took his time telling them how fine they all were, and turned to Chang-jong Lee.

The look was telling him to say the same thing back, and to be quick…
