As Min Seoyeong walked into the living room, Gu Yuna, lying on her stomach on the sofa, raised her head.

A webtoon was up on her tablet screen.

With a cushion tucked under her chest and her toes wiggling, she looked every inch a kid.

"What are you watching that you didn't even hear Mom come in?"

"I heard you, that's why I said hi."

Gu Yuna stood the tablet up and answered calmly.

"Mom, who trashed who today?"

"What kind of thing is that to say?"

"Whenever you come back from seeing your friends, there's always one person who's turned into a bad guy."

Min Seoyeong was setting down her handbag when she turned to look at her daughter.

Her round eyes were full of mischief.

She was a girl who'd never once swallowed her words to watch someone else's mood.
