Ning Chen was being roasted over a fire.

Zisu ground up the herbs Feng Qizheng had brought back and soaked all of them in the bathtub.

After about an hour of roasting, the sweat was pouring out of Ning Chen, layer after layer.

The whole room was thick with smoke.

On Zisu's orders, every crack around the doors and windows had been stopped up.

Pan Yucheng and the others were coughing nonstop, with snot and tears all over their faces.

"That's about enough. Put him in the tub.

Zhirou, go get some warm water and give Ning, dear a drink."

Ning Chen had sweated so much over the fire that he was nearly dehydrated.

Pan Yucheng and Feng Qizheng lowered him into the tub.

Zisu shook her head. "Wait a little. I'll need you two again in a minute."

While she spoke, she tested the water.

"It's not hot enough. Add more hot water!"

And so Ning Chen soaked in the medicinal water for another half hour before they finally carried him back to bed.

The smoke had gotten to Pan Yucheng too; his eyes were red from it. "Miss Zisu, can we go out now?"

"You can. Would you two please clean up out there... Don't throw away that board. We'll need it again!"

Outside, Yuan Long and the others were waiting anxiously.

With a creak, the door opened!

Pan Yucheng and Feng Qizheng came out wrapped in a cloud of thick smoke.

Everyone stared!

Yuan Long said, "Wh-what... Is there a fire in there?"

Feng Qizheng rubbed his smoke-reddened eyes. "Yep. We just roasted my lord prince and ate him."

Everyone: "..."

Pan Yucheng explained, "Don't worry. It's one of the ways Miss Zisu is treating my lord prince."

Lei An asked quickly, "How is…
