Pan Yucheng and Feng Qizheng ran into the room and over to Ning Chen's bed. Pan Yucheng was just reaching out to feel his forehead when he found Ning Chen staring up at him, eyes wide open.

Pan Yucheng's hand froze in midair. For a moment nobody did anything but stare.

"He's alive... No, I mean, he's awake! Ning Chen, you're awake?"

Feng Qizheng was shouting with excitement.

Pan Yucheng snapped out of it and said to Feng Qizheng, "Watch him. I'll go get Miss Xiao."

Feng Qizheng nodded and stepped up, staring at Ning Chen. "You're awake. That's great... How do you feel?"

Ning Chen opened his mouth, and an unintelligible croak came out.

Feng Qizheng eyed him suspiciously. "What the hell was that? I can't understand a word... Don't tell me the fever fried your brain?"

"Ning Chen, say something! Do you still know me?"

Feng Qizheng waved a hand in front of his face.

Ning Chen was about to die of exasperation. Your father's just not talking, not blind. What the hell are you waving at?

Feng Qizheng stared at him and muttered, "That's it. Looks like he really has lost it... Ning Chen, it's fine if you don't recognize me. Truth is, I'm your dad!"

Ning Chen nearly passed out from sheer rage.

This simpleton had the nerve to take advantage of him at a time like this?
