Ding-a-ling-ling!!!

The crisp sound of the bell spread through the room in a steady rhythm.

Ning Chen gave a cold laugh. Calling for backup, I suppose?

Pan Yucheng and Feng Qizheng stepped forward and took up positions on either side of Ning Chen.

Suddenly there was a cracking, grinding sound, like bones scraping against each other.

Ning Chen turned toward the sound, and his face tightened.

The dozen-odd girls kneeling on the floor had begun to twist like zombies, and as they twisted, their bones made strange cracking noises.

Ning Chen saw it clearly: on the backs of their pale, delicate hands, purple veins were bulging up one after another, as if earthworms were hiding under the skin.

When they raised their heads, Ning Chen, Pan Yucheng and Feng Qizheng all went pale!

The women had turned into something like ghosts. Their eyes were blood-red, and blood-swollen veins streaked across their faces, hideous and terrifying.

As the bell kept ringing, the women dropped onto all fours and scrambled at Ning Chen. They crawled across the floor incredibly fast. They didn't look human at all, more like some kind of bloodthirsty beast.

One woman, her face twisted into something hideous, lunged straight at Ning Chen.

Bam!!!

Pan Yucheng kicked her flying.

The impact drove him back a step.

"Careful, these monsters are stronger than normal people!"

Pan Yucheng warned them.

Bam!!!

Feng Qizheng sent a lunging girl flying with one punch.

But these girls, as if possessed, didn't seem to feel pain. The one Feng Qizheng had punched slammed into the wall, bounced off onto the floor, and was completely unharmed. She got up with a piercing shriek and charged at them again.

The old madam screamed in terror and stumbled toward the door on shaking legs.

One of the possessed girls tackled her to the floor, clamped her teeth on her neck and tore out a chunk of flesh.

The old madam screamed horribly as she was bitten to death. It was a bloodbath.

Ning Chen's gaze hardened. He pulled the dagger from his belt and flung it without looking.
