— Our next story. The prosecution has announced that it has indicted Mun-jong Lee, former Vice-Chairman of the Ilhyeon Group, on charges of embezzlement and breach of trust. Vice-Chairman Mun-jong Lee is understood to have pocketed some seventy billion won by granting preferential treatment to local development companies on condition that they take part in the Siheung redevelopment project and the Daegu Second District redevelopment project. The prosecution further alleges that he caused the company losses of some five billion won by putting up a building Ilhyeon holds in Japan as collateral and investing on his own account. The Supreme Court has indicated that it will hand down a judgment as quickly as it can, given the level of public interest in the case. Inside the court, we are told, the judges who will hear it are already being chosen and the case is being worked through at speed.

Tak-hyeon Lee frowned as though he did not like it.
Do-beom Hwang studied Tak-hyeon Lee carefully and said,
"Isn't it to your liking?"
"How could a thing like that be to my liking?"
"Then let me go now and see the Prosecutor General and the Chief Justice, so that a suspended sentence can still—"
"What are you talking about?"
Tak-hyeon Lee turned his head and looked up at Do-beom Hwang.
Do-beom Hwang wore a puzzled expression as he answered.
"…You don't like it because he might get an actual prison sentence, is that it?"
"The other way around."
"The other way around?"
"That's right."
Tak-hyeon Lee turned his head back to the screen, and frowned as though it made him uncomfortable.
"Is one measly year going to wipe out what that boy has done?"
By now the news had moved on and was in the middle of explaining…
