Chapter 343: What If One Plus One Doesn’t Equal Two?

Chung-seop Jo, Representative of Silla Future Asset, spoke to Seong-ho with a flushed face.

"Sir. I hear Anamco — the Saudi national oil company — has placed a tanker order? Twenty vessels, no less. Had this already been in discussion?"

Seong-ho smiled at his evident excitement.

"We'd been in continuous discussions with Anamco. The only thing preventing them from placing the order outright was a question over whether we could actually deliver on all of it."

"And you've resolved that now."

"Exactly. We showed them, and the order came through as their answer."

Chung-seop clicked his tongue in astonishment and turned to Byeong-ju Jeong, President of Ilhyeon Globevision, seated beside him.

Watching Chung-seop's mouth twitch as though it itched to speak, Seong-ho smiled.

"What is it you're so curious about? Just ask."

"Am I allowed?"

Chung-seop let out a relieved breath and leaned in close.

"How much have you made, sir?"

"Me?"

Chung-seop glanced at Byeong-ju Jeong.

"You're Ilhyeon Globevision's largest shareholder, aren't you?"

"Not… yet, he isn't."

Byeong-ju Jeong answered carefully, watching Seong-ho's face.

"Come now. I know what President Kim holds is convertible bonds. Do you imagine I don't know he has to convert them into shares before he formally appears on the register? I run a securities firm, whatever else you may think of…
