Chapter 333: The Three Legs That Hold Up the Cauldron

Watching Byeong-jin and Jeong-cheol Choi scuffle with the reporters, Vice President Yeong-bae Song felt something was off.

"Why don't I see Managing Director Gu?"

"Sorry?"

"Managing Director Gu. Where has he gone?"

The three of them always moved as a set.

That Pyeong-in Gu should be missing today, of all days — the day the Goliath crane arrived — was strange.

"Managing Director Gu?"

Beom-mu Kim, apparently only now realizing Pyeong-in Gu wasn't there, looked around.

Yeong-bae Song spoke to him urgently.

"Find out where Managing Director Gu is. Right now."

"Yes, sir."

Not long after Beom-mu Kim left to call Pyeong-in Gu, a horn sounded in the distance.

Whoooo—

Soon the ship's horn rang out across Ulsan Port, and the vessel carrying the Goliath crane came in.

Watching it dock slowly, Seong-ho and Byeong-jin discussed something, while the reporters snapped photograph after photograph of the ship and of the dismantled Goliath crane jutting out beyond its deck.

Yeong-bae Song watched from a little way off.

"Vice President."

Beom-mu Kim returned from his errand.

"He says he's unwell and couldn't come today."

"Unwell? How unwell does a man have to be to miss a day like this?"

"He says he's on his way to the hospital now."

"Tsk."

At the mention of a hospital, Yeong-bae Song clicked his tongue and nodded.

"There's not long left. Tell him to take care of himself."

It was a remark carrying the meaning: don't waver on me now.

"Don't worry. Both Managing Director Gu and I are keeping it firmly in mind."

Satisfied with the answer, Yeong-bae Song smiled and watched the people disembarking.

The supervisor from Malmö's Kockums shipyard, who had come with the Goliath crane, was coming down.

"Thank you for your work."

Seong-ho greeted the captain first, then turned to the Swedish supervisor.

"Everything is prepared, so rest today, and you can begin installation from tomorrow."

"Understood. We've exchanged views thoroughly with the Ilhyeon side, so there should be no problems with the installation."

The Swedish supervisor was indicating that sufficient discussion had already taken place with Director Gwak.
