Chapter 329: There’s a Way to Kill Seong-ho Kim

Vice President Yeong-bae Song and Director Beom-mu Kim sat side by side, talking as they waited for the person who would arrive shortly.

"So he's moving into the Suin Pharmaceutical building?"

"Yes. They say the move is next week."

"The Suin Pharmaceutical building is fairly large, isn't it? He's been squeezed into two floors of a shopping arcade, and now he wants the whole of a building that size? Is he going to use the leftover offices as a warehouse?"

Yeong-bae Song asked with open incredulity.

Beom-mu Kim relayed what he'd heard.

"He intends to consolidate the site office and head office — which are currently split — into one, and he's also going to run hiring for both new graduates and experienced staff."

"He's telling those of us at the site office to come in?"

"Yes. Only site workers remain on site; all the administrative staff are to come in."

"So what he's saying is that we've been squatting on site handing down pointless instructions."

"It's not necessarily that…"

Beom-mu Kim, looking troubled, couldn't give Yeong-bae Song a proper answer.

Back in the Mirae Heavy Industries days, office staff had been at head office and site workers at the site office.

But the boundary between the two had blurred as head office staff were seconded to the site one by one, until it reached the point where there were more administrative staff at the site office than at head office.

And so complaints had begun rising from the shop floor.

Because it had become increasingly common for clean white-collar staff to lord over grease-stained blue-collar workers and order them about like servants.

Seong-ho had ordered the administrative staff back to head office precisely to break that pattern.

The site should exist for the site, and what happened within it should follow the decisions of the site workers — that was Seong-ho's judgment.
