"So — what's Chang-jong been up to lately?"
Sang-jong glanced over at Seong-ho and asked.
Everyone at the table knew Chang-jong had been coming to Seong-ho often.
"He comes to me a lot recently, but I'm not sure what he's doing myself."
Crash!
Just as Seong-ho's answer ended, Tak-hyeon slammed his fist down on the dining table.
"Don't even think about covering for that bastard. Kim. Deliver it to him — plainly. If he doesn't come down from the presidency quietly, I'll file a formal complaint against him myself."
Seong-ho set down the spoon and chopsticks he was holding and bowed his head toward Tak-hyeon as he answered.
"Yes. I'll deliver it clearly."
Clatter!
"There goes my appetite. I'm getting up."
Mun-jong and the others rose from the table in Tak-hyeon's wake.
"Why aren't you eating more?"
Suk-ja, left alone at the table, looked up at Tak-hyeon and said —

And he turned right around and left.
Once Tak-hyeon had gone up to the study, Suk-ja hurled her spoon down.
Clatter!
"Mother."
Hyeon-ju Bang looked at Suk-ja with worried eyes.
Suk-ja shot Sang-jong a glare and rose from her seat.
"Did you drink your common sense along with your soup? Why bring that boy up now?"
Being scolded, Sang-jong pouted as if he'd been wronged and said —
"I mean, someone was going to ask, weren't they? I got unlucky and drew the short straw — what did I do wrong?"
Suk-ja glared at Sang-jong and turned her head away.
"Forget it. What's the point of talking to you…"
Suk-ja let out a pitying sigh and turned to Seong-ho.
"He's still coming to you about that stocks or whatever?"
"That's…"
Seong-ho couldn't answer and dipped his head. At which Gyeong-eun, beside him, cut in.
"Don't try to scold him. My oppa is the one showing up unannounced. What, then? Should we lock the door on him?…
