When Seong-ho's long spell of laughter subsided, Chung-seop cautiously opened his mouth.

"Representative. It seems, however you look at it, that President Chang-jong came to meet me through you because of the ten-times account."

Chung-seop had turned it over from every angle and concluded there was no other explanation.

"There's no way any other securities firm would open an account like this for him. Even with a billion or two billion won in collateral, if he goes in ten contracts or twenty contracts at a stroke, a billion-won collateral getting eaten alive isn't even a problem. And with ten-times leverage on top? How much faster would it disappear? Ten times the gain means ten times the loss. And the time it takes to burn out the account is also ten times faster. Do we really have to open this for him?"

"Open it."

"Open it?"

"He said that's what he wants, didn't he? Do it exactly the way he asked."

"Representative!"

Chung-seop had been sure Seong-ho would talk him out of it — so at the instruction to open the account, he was startled. He'd been certain Seong-ho, of all people, would know exactly how dangerous a thing that was.

But danger was a good thing for Seong-ho.

"Once it burns out, he'll bring different collateral. Or he'll try to borrow against his credit."

"His credit?"

Chung-seop's face turned troubled.

That being a son of Ilhyeon Group was a colossal advantage that ordinary people couldn't have — that was true. And you could lend against it. But that didn't mean there was no limit.

"Even so — 10 billion, 100 billion won… we can't lend without limit."

"Not up to 100 billion, no. But 10 billion — go ahead and lend it. I'll provide the collateral."

"You'll provide the collateral, Representative?"

"Yes. On the condition, though, that you don't tell President Chang-jong."

Chung-seop shook his head with a flustered face and said —
