Unable to hold back his curiosity at Tak-hyeon's unusual demeanor, Mun-jong asked.

"Has something good happened, Father?"

Having kept smiling for a while, Tak-hyeon slowly opened his mouth at Mun-jong's question and said, "The good thing isn't for me — it's for all of you."

"For us?"

Sang-jong looked around at his siblings as if to confirm his own guess, and Jeong-eun, who'd been sulking, couldn't contain her curiosity either and asked Tak-hyeon.

Their reactions seeming to fuel his enjoyment even more, Tak-hyeon wore a deep smile and began.

"There's no other reason I called every one of you here today without exception. It's to give you all a gift."

"A gift?"

At the mention of a gift, all the irritation that had been clouding Jeong-eun's face vanished.

"What kind of gift?"

"A good gift. No — 'good gift' doesn't even begin to cover it. It'll probably be a gift shocking enough to make you faint when you hear it."

"Father. Don't tell me..."

"That's right. I'm going to give you all a share of the equity."

"Is that really true?"

Jeong-eun leapt a full foot off her seat.

Mun-jong rose to his feet as well.

Sang-jong and Chang-jong both leaned forward as if they might lunge at Tak-hyeon.

Every sibling except Gyeong-eun showed a fierce reaction.

Seong-ho understood exactly why Mun-jong and the others were reacting this way.

Of course, given he's never once shared his stake before, this is only natural.
