"What could possibly be so important that you'd call me in at this hour?"

Seong-ho walked over to Byeong-jin Jo, whose face showed the fatigue of more than three hours behind the wheel, and rubbed his shoulders.

"I know it was a haul getting here, but let's push through a little more."

"What kind of document needs putting together that you had to call me in specifically? Can't the staff here do it?"

"No. It has to be you."

Byeong-jin Jo sat down and looked up at Seong-ho, still working his shoulders, with a look that asked just what kind of document could be so important that he'd been summoned all the way from Jinju.

"The Chairman wants a succession-process plan."

"He asked for a succession plan?"

Byeong-jin Jo shouted in surprise, then, realizing he might have spoken too loudly, lowered his voice and glanced around.

"Was that too loud...?"

"It's fine to speak up. No one's around."

Once he confirmed no staff remained in the Ilhyeon baseball club's Seoul office, Byeong-jin Jo relaxed slightly and asked, "So the Chairman told you to bring him a plan? By when?"

"I told you already — by the day after tomorrow."

"The day after tomorrow? As in, two days from now?"

"That's right, two days from now."

The expression on Byeong-jin Jo's face slowly twisted.

"Hey. Day after tomorrow? It's 8 PM right now. If today's basically gone, that leaves us one day — you're saying we build the entire plan in one day? Just the two of us?"

"Wouldn't have called you if it weren't possible."

Seong-ho stopped rubbing his own shoulders, picked up a sheet of paper from the desk he'd been sitting at, and set it in front of Byeong-jin Jo.

"I roughed this out while waiting for you to get here. Turn this into a proper document to present to the Chairman. Can you do it?"
