Seated beside Dae-su Park, Seong-ho held out the guest book to a guest who had presented an envelope of congratulatory money.

"You can write your name in the guest book here. And if you go to the table listed on your invitation, your name will be written there. Please have a seat at that spot."

Seong-ho explained in detail to the guest who had come to celebrate Byeong-jin's wedding.

Dae-su, seated at his side, took the envelope Seong-ho handed over and tucked it into a large bag, then set the bag at his feet. And when the guest, having written his name in the book, walked off, he quietly said to Seong-ho,

"Hey, later on we've got to take photos and watch the ceremony too — what do we do about this?"

Dae-su discreetly pointed a finger at the bag of money envelopes beneath his feet.

Following Dae-su's finger, Seong-ho looked down at the bag and smiled.

"I'll call a hotel staffer later and hand it over to them, so don't worry."

Only after hearing Seong-ho's words did Dae-su recall that this place where the wedding was being held was Ilhyeon Hotel, and he let out a hollow laugh.

"Ah, right, this is Ilhyeon Hotel. Your people are spread out over every square inch of this place, and here my head's like this. I don't know how I ever passed the bar exam with a brain like this."

"Right? So how did the whole prosecutor thing happen, anyway?"

As Dae-su and Seong-ho sat side by side trading jokes and enjoying themselves, some familiar faces approached from in front of them.

"Knew you'd be sitting right here."

Sang-cheol Mun, whom they'd met at the last class reunion, along with other classmates, had come as guests.

"You made it, then?"

Dae-su looked up at Sang-cheol Mun with a sour expression. Throughout the reunion, Dae-su hadn't cared for the way Sang-cheol Mun boasted about himself and tried to lecture everyone else.

Unaware of what Dae-su was thinking, Sang-cheol Mun drew an envelope from the inside pocket of his suit and set it down.
