"Open the window, quick. Quick."
At Jeong-eun's order, Cha hurried to the window, opened it, and kept waving his hands to clear out the cigarette smoke. He knew how much Jeong-eun despised smoke.
"It's cold — why open the window?"
Watching Jeong-eun's fit and Cha scrambling to match it, Sang-jong found it amusing. He pulled the paper in front of him closer and tapped his ash onto it, saying,

"Ugh… bring something to use as an ashtray, quick!"
Jeong-eun shouted at Cha. He hurried out of the office.
Jeong-eun tried to brush the ash off the paper, which had gone gray with soot, then, unable to contain her anger, flung it aside.
"What kind of outrage is this, coming into someone else's office?"
"Then you should have behaved so I wouldn't have to cause an outrage."
"What did I do? What exactly did I do?"
Sang-jong took a long drag on his cigarette, then slowly blew the smoke toward Jeong-eun and said,
"Didn't you clearly say you'd help me if I helped you? So why is there still no word from you? Keep this up and the year will turn over."
