They'd meant to take a walk around West Lake on Saturday, but with Yang Fei hurt, that plan was obviously out.

They stayed put in the hotel for the day. On Sunday morning, Xu Ye left Yang Fei behind and went to Zhejiang University with Zhan Zifeng.

The job fair was already set up.

Every school in the university was holding its own fair, so this one had only forty-some companies, almost all of them software or game companies looking for coders. Each company had its own booth, with partitions in between.

The game company Zhang Xinzhou had registered was called Shanghai Ark Interactive Games Co., Ltd. The business license had only just come through, so of course nobody knew the name, not next to the big companies all around it. Xu Ye and Zhan Zifeng sat there for a long time, and hardly anyone came over to ask about it.

Other companies' booths had people streaming past them, and Zhan Zifeng was getting worried. "Director Xu, at this rate, I'm afraid we're barely going to get any résumés."

Xu Ye hadn't seen this coming either.

So he got up, stopped a student who was walking by, and invited him over. "Hey there, why not come find out about our company?"

The student glanced at the company name and shook his head without a second's hesitation. "Sorry, I'm only looking at the big game studios."

Xu Ye had nothing to say to that.

He hadn't expected his first time out recruiting to get off to such a bad start.

The thought of going home empty-handed got Xu Ye scrambling for a plan. A few minutes later, he had Zhan Zifeng hand him the megaphone. He switched it on, planted himself at the very front of the booth and started shouting. "Um… everybody, step right up, don't miss out! I know a lot of you have never heard of us. The truth is, our game company was only just founded, so it makes sense you don't know anything about it. But I think I should introduce myself, and the company…"
