"Class president, what do we do with this guy?"

Nobody had expected Finance Class 1 of the 2014 intake to close ranks like that. Every one of the guys had shown up except Zhang Yiyang, and once they had Zheng Guotao surrounded, Xu Ye's classmates were each louder than the last.

They all seemed to have caught something from Xu Ye. There was a touch of the thug about every one of them now.

However angry Zheng Guotao was, in front of this many people he still didn't dare make a sound.

Xu Ye was about to speak when—

"What's going on here? What's going on? What's everybody standing around here for?"

A few men in campus security uniforms came over — all of them from the school's security squad, whose job was keeping order on campus.

The second Xu Ye saw them coming he signaled Zhang Xinzhou to pull the classmates back, then stepped forward and pointed at Zheng Guotao as he explained. "Sir, I'm Xu Ye, class president of Finance Class 1, 2014 intake. This guy isn't from our school. I got a call from a girl in my class saying my roommate was getting beaten up by somebody from off campus, so I came over with these people."

The security squad were, to put it plainly, the school's guards.

But Xu Ye called them sir, and that alone put them in a good mood. On top of that they worked for the school, and hearing that somebody from off campus had come in to start trouble, they were naturally going to take their own students' side.

So the squad leader pointed at Zheng Guotao and gave the order. "You three, get him over to the security office. You're Xu Ye, right?"

"Yes."

"You, you, and the rest of you — come back to the office with me too and help me get to the bottom of this."

"Okay."
