The giant pangolin, possibly nuclear-grade, was running toward the Huoshan Oasis with a swarm of huge locusts on its tail. That quickly put the government troops stationed in the oasis on alert. Soldiers massed in force to get the residents working on the oasis's development out of it and into the defensive works nearby.
The strongest fighter on the garrison, Chen Xiuni, the nuclear-grade iron person, went to the front line herself to stop the pangolin and the locusts from getting in.
The Super-Thunder Wave station kept lighting up with call requests.
Once it became clear that the intruders might include a nuclear-grade evolved beast—and a locust swarm frightening enough to send one running—the new government's top leadership began asking Shen Cong for help.
From the look of it, nobody but Shen Cong could stop this, and as luck would have it he was right here.
"Chairman Huang, if Major General Chen and the others can't hold, we'd be deeply grateful if you would step in," Liu Yiwu asked over the Super-Thunder Wave station.
Shen Cong answered, "If it comes to that, I'll step in."
Then he settled in to watch.
He studied the pangolin and the locusts quietly. With a Talent of 6.577H, a nuclear-grade pangolin meant nothing to him, but locusts that could treat a nuclear-grade pangolin as prey had his full attention. He badly wanted to know what gave these locusts the nerve to hunt a nuclear-grade evolved beast.
Nuclear-grade hadn't brought a second change of quality, but a nuclear-grade body's defenses were anything but easy to break.
The locusts were big, but none of them had more than high-grade Talent. However large a swarm high-grade evolved beasts gathered into, the gap between them and nuclear-grade was still as wide as heaven from earth.
It didn't take long.
The pangolin and the locusts entered the Huoshan Oasis, drawing nearer and nearer to the Four-Armed Vajra. It had already switched on its camouflage color and faded into the dense forest. With the Third Eye Radar covering everything around it, Shen Cong waited for them to come into view…
