Feeling his way into the radiative eyes was not simple. The Third Eye Radar's Activity waves did not take a step forward just because something amplified them. A great deal of Activity wave technique went into it.

Here was the saving grace. At scientific research Shen Cong might be running on nothing but guesswork.

But at applying Activity waves he was beyond question the first man in the world. Every time he used a radiative eye to strengthen his Activity waves he gained a little, and doubling the Third Eye Radar's effect was only a matter of time.

Besides the Third Eye Radar work, Shen Cong had another focus. He wanted to use a radiative eye to amplify the force of the Activity light-wave.

In his hands the Activity light-wave could already destroy nuclear-grade material easily, but Shen Cong was not satisfied. He wanted to push the Activity light-wave further, ideally far enough to cut down a particle-grade being.

"Right now I'm the only particle-grade there is. But I can't be sure there's nothing particle-grade out there, and I can't be sure no human reaches particle-grade later. If I'm going to hold a predator's place, I have to stay a step ahead of everyone at every point, so I can crush anyone at will!"

"And there'll be more and more intelligent creatures. There's no guarantee the powerful evolved beasts won't reach particle-grade, and if one of them has higher intelligence on top of that, it's absolutely something I'd need to watch."

Prepare before the rain falls, and you stand on ground where you cannot be beaten.

To Shen Cong's disappointment, though, a radiative eye did a poor job of amplifying the Activity light-wave. The Activity light-wave is a consuming kind of Activity wave, and that consumption is measured by output per unit of time and per unit of area.

Which meant Shen Cong could make a radiative eye put out a fiercer Activity light-wave, but only by using the radiative eye itself as the weapon.

A radiative eye is a spherical crystal. It cannot change shape, and it makes a…
