The battle had drawn to a close, yet Shen Cong relaxed his vigilance not in the slightest — not only because four Bug Warriors were still unfound, but because he had to guard against the Pest-Killer Squad and the Five Sisters turning on him.
A temporary cooperation was no reason to assume the other side wouldn't scheme.
The Third Eye opened, searching everywhere for where the Bug Warriors might be hiding. The enslaved ordinary people, at this very moment, were all emerging from their dwellings, or halting the work in their hands, their wooden faces betraying nothing — impossible to tell whether excitement or numbness.

At once, Shen Cong simply hauled the rubble aside, revealing an entrance beneath the ground.
This was the basement of A-Tai's house.
A wooden door.
The door was bolted from within. Shen Cong drew the spanner-crab blade, gave a hard heave, and the door was pried open. Then the Third Eye's Activity wave probed into the basement, and everything within was clear to him.
Below was, unmistakably, a fairly large chamber.
Pillars propped up a broad space, filled with one bed-cot after another — and on the cots, unmistakably, were countless humans infected with bug cores.
This was the Twin…
