Facing the situation before him, Shen Cong's first thought was that the supplies could go hang — just grab whatever he could get his hands on and withdraw from Jianhu County at once.
But looking at Jianhu County's current state, Shen Cong didn't actually feel much sense of crisis inside.
Apart from the giant seal tangled up with the Metal Brigade, there weren't really many truly powerful jin beasts among the marine lot — the only ultimate-grade one was probably just the giant seal. The rest were super-grade jin beasts, or hadn't even reached that level. Super-grade jin beasts coming up from the ocean to lord it over the land was a little laughable.
If I don't even dare grab this bit of supplies, what's all this talk of standing at the top of the food chain?
I'm long since no mere Ah Meng of Wu. I'm an ultimate-grade iron person — Beyond-Four-Star Talent, Hell Plant Armor, the Great Vajra Totem, and the Four-Legged Dragon hunting alongside me. Steer clear of the giant seal, and this stretch of super-grade jin beasts is practically laying out a supply of jin cores for me.
Why should I be afraid, why should I flee?
I really, truly am strong!
Shen Cong's eyes glinted with a placid light — but a chill lurked in it, faintly hiding a grim, ferocious beast within.
He handed the slip back to the supply manager, his voice soft yet firm. "Round up your people, follow me, and we'll haul the supplies. I guarantee your safety."
The supply manager's eyes went wide as he looked at Shen Cong, clad in Hell Plant Armor and three times his own size, and all at once a spirited confidence rose in his heart. "Yes, Commander! I'll go contact the others at the supply office right now."
"Go." Shen Cong waved a hand.
Turning, he returned to the Great Vajra and put out a radio request. "Command post, this is Hu Ge."
The operator connected at once. "Major General Hu, this is the command post. Please go ahead."
"Tell whoever's in charge there…
