Today was Youwei's first day back at work after the New Year.

Pei Youwei had made a point of calling Zhang Xiaonuan the night before, telling her to come in early and get the first-day-back red packets ready.

Staff started arriving just after eight in the morning.

Pei Youwei stood at the door handing a packet to every employee who came in, and Xu Ye arrived just in time for the last wave. He and Chen Qingqing were not getting one, though. Pei Youwei pulled them over to stand beside her and hand out packets with her.

By nine o'clock more or less everyone was in.

Xu Ye did a rough count and made it seventy or eighty people at least, and looking around the room, every last one of them was a woman. Partly that was the industry, which has more women in it to begin with, and partly it was that Youwei's main line at the moment was lingerie, so the hiring leaned female on purpose.

"Xiaonuan, go tell everyone I want every department head in the meeting room in ten minutes."

"You got it."

First day back, and Zhang Xiaonuan had energy to spare. She said it and went out of the office with a bounce in her step.

Pei Youwei poured Chen Qingqing a cup of hot water and smiled as she handed it over. "Qingqing, I'm taking Xu Ye into a meeting in a minute. Wait for us in the office, and I'll take the two of you out to lunch."

"Okay~"

Ten minutes later Pei Youwei and Xu Ye came into the meeting room, and the cheerful noise in it died down fast.

Pei Youwei took the seat at the head of the table as if there had never been a question about it, then gave Xu Ye a look that put him in the chair on her left.

"Today is the company's first day back, so let me start by wishing everybody a happy New Year. This meeting is mainly about our plans and our targets for the year. First…"
