"Are we almost there?"

Chen Qingqing had been watching the scenery go past, and asked it out of nowhere.

Xu Ye nodded. "Mm, almost. I'll take you to the hotel first, then go back to the dorm for a change of clothes. I won't be going back to school for the next two days."

Something occurred to Chen Qingqing and she asked it right away. "Does your company have the weekend off?"

"Mm."

"Then take me to your company first. I've never been."

Xu Ye agreed without a moment's hesitation. Qingye Investment was partly hers, after all — her name was in it, and she held a share of the equity too.

That had been the condition Xu Ye agreed to back when he borrowed the money from his mother-in-law. She had never once brought it up since, but Xu Ye had never forgotten it.

They drove to Wanchuang Center, and once the car was parked Chen Qingqing left her bag inside. Getting out, she saw Xu Ye standing with his hand out waiting for her, and she hurried over and put her small hand in it.

The two of them walked into the elevator hand in hand, and when it stopped Chen Qingqing took her hand back and hooked her arm through his instead.

That looked more like a couple.

At the front desk, Yuan Yuqi saw Xu Ye bringing Chen Qingqing toward the office and figured out immediately that this was his girlfriend.

She came over and opened the door for them, laughing. "Mr. Xu, this must be your girlfriend?"

Xu Ye laughed too. "You have to ask?"

"Your girlfriend is really pretty~"

"Listen to you, sweet-talker."

While Xu Ye and Yuan Yuqi were talking, Chen Qingqing was sizing her up and thinking quietly: Danger rating, three stars.

Past the desk was the main office floor.

There were around twenty people at the company, and the balance of men and women was fairly even — set aside the finance department and it was almost exactly one to one.
