Some people will not shed a tear until they see the coffin. That was the sort of woman Ma Jintu was.

Shen Cong had any number of ways of tormenting her, and did not make much use of them. He only threw her about a few times, and then took her out of the cave and up to the surface.

The fighting on the surface was still going on. Under the Vajra Fortress's attack, less than a tenth of the rat-beasts remained, and the few that survived had lost their nerve and wanted to run — but the far side of the moat was held by the reserve units, and the only end left for these big rats was death.

The Rat King had been taken by the iron person Zhang Dacheng, and was tied to his armored car.

The enormous rat-beast was being swarmed by several more super iron people working with the four-legged dragon — covered in wounds, and about to be killed.

"Zhang Dacheng. Tie this woman up as well." Seeing that Zhang Dacheng was about to go and join the attack on the enormous rat-beast, Shen Cong simply threw Ma Jintu to him.

Handing her to the military for interrogation would come to the same thing.

For now, Shen Cong had another trip to make into the underground caves. What he had got out of the rat officer Ah Laosan was that a good many survivors had been carried off by the ratmen and enslaved.

With the Third Eye to help, survivors were easy enough to find.

It did not take long to find where they were being held — or a workshop, to be exact.

There were seventeen human survivors in the workshop, barely clothed, forging equipment and weapons of every sort. The weapons and equipment were the same as the ones the rat soldiers and rat generals carried outside, plainly the same models.

Besides the humans there were several hundred ratmen in the workshop as well. These seemed to be female rats, forging weapons and equipment alongside the survivors.
