Chapter 319: If You Want It Desperately Enough, Heaven Is Moved and Opens a Way

Byeong-jin, still grumbling, turned to Jeong-cheol Choi as he came back.

"What did you find out?"

"Chairman Jacob Mortensen is confirmed to be in Denmark."

"Is he now?"

Jeong-cheol Choi, who had gone off to confirm whether Jacob Mortensen — chairman of Maersk and head of the world's largest shipping alliance — was in Denmark, sat down beside Byeong-jin and laid out the intelligence he'd gathered.

"He apparently comes into the office at the same hour as his employees and leaves at the same hour they do."

"So Chairman Mortensen is at Maersk headquarters right now?"

"He came in today too, so presumably."

"Should we go to the company, then?"

Byeong-jin asked Seong-ho whether they should head straight to Maersk headquarters.

Seong-ho shook his head and turned to Jeong-cheol Choi.

"Good work. I ordered the walnut sandwich, so make sure you eat."

"Walnut… Yes, sir."

Unable to bring himself to say he simply couldn't eat another bite of it, Jeong-cheol Choi bowed his head in acknowledgment.

Byeong-jin turned back to Seong-ho.

"We're not going?"

"Going where?"

"Maersk headquarters. If Chairman Mortensen is at the office, shouldn't we go?"

"And will he see us if we do?"

"We don't have an appointment, so of course he won't. But we can't just sit here eating, can we? It's not as though we're going to meet Chairman Mortensen here."

"You never know. He might come to us."

"What?"

Byeong-jin stared at Seong-ho, incredulous.

He agreed that going to Maersk headquarters wouldn't get them a meeting with Mortensen.

But that was no reason to entertain the idea that Mortensen might walk into a vegan restaurant.

"Look. Sitting here isn't going to make Chairman Mortensen—"

Byeong-jin was mid-sentence when the restaurant suddenly erupted into commotion.

"Kkeh. Kkeh."

At one side of the restaurant, an elderly white man had shot to his feet, clutching his throat in evident panic, while the older woman across from him looked around desperately for help.

But everyone had simply taken a step back and was watching the situation unfold; not one person stepped forward.
