Chang-jong rolled down the window, leaned his head out, and even waved at Seong-ho standing outside.
"When you're back, I'll buy you a meal — give me a call."
"Yes, understood. Happy trading, then."
"Happy trading? What's that supposed to mean?"
Chang-jong tilted his head, not catching Seong-ho's meaning.
Seong-ho smiled at him.
"It's shorthand for successful investing."
"Ah — successful investing. Right. Whatever it takes, as long as it succeeds. Thank you. I'll be sure to succeed and repay your encouragement, so just wait a little."
Chang-jong spoke as though full of confidence, and waved again.
Seong-ho told him he'd see him when he was back and stood watching as the car pulled away.
Just then, Byeong-jin came out of the terminal with Jeong-cheol Choi.
"What's this? He's gone?"
"Yeah. He's gone."
Seong-ho said it, turned, and asked Jeong-cheol Choi,
"Bags all checked?"
"Yes. You can go through now."
At Jeong-cheol Choi's report that the bags were checked and they could proceed to the gate, Seong-ho nodded and thanked him for his work.
Having finished his report, Jeong-cheol Choi asked in a worried voice,
"Um, sir. Are you really going to…"
"Don't worry. I have no intention of firing you."
"Thank you."
Jeong-cheol Choi, who had been fretting the whole way to the airport, breathed easier at Seong-ho's firm assurance.
Byeong-jin clapped him on the shoulder.
"See? I told you not to worry."
"You didn't see it, hyung. He went on and on in the car about firing me…"
"Unless you walk out on your own two feet, Seong-ho is not a man who would ever fire you. More to the point…"
Byeong-jin rested a hand on Jeong-cheol Choi's shoulder and looked toward where the car had just departed.
"Why did Chang-jong come?"
"Why do you think? He came to borrow money."

Byeong-jin turned to Seong-ho with a puzzled expression, and as they walked back into the terminal, Seong-ho recounted the conversation he'd just had with Chang-jong.
Listening, Byeong-jin stopped walking and grabbed Seong-ho's shoulder.
