Chapter 307: It Was Already Too Late to Change Her Attitude

Gyeong-eun kept her eyes fixed on Seong-ho as she slowly spoke.

"Eunho is going to collapse?"

"Not right now, no."

Withdrawing his gaze from San-cheol Park, Seong-ho took Gyeong-eun's hand and spoke in a low voice as they walked.

"But within ten years, they'll be finished."

"Really?"

Gyeong-eun looked at Seong-ho with a startled expression.

Then, recalling that Seong-ho never joked about things like this, she turned her head to look back at San-cheol Park of Eunho Group.

"Eunho Group, collapsing…"

Eunho wasn't among the top ten conglomerates, but whether you measured by assets or by revenue, it never failed to make the top thirty.

To hear that such a place would be finished within ten years was more than Gyeong-eun could believe.

"Well, if that's true, then I can understand why you didn't get angry. Getting angry back at a barking dog only makes you look like the strange one."

"Who are you calling a dog?"

Just as Gyeong-eun was muttering to herself, a few people approached from her direction.

Seong-ho recognized who they were at a glance.

The second daughter of a heavyweight politician who was currently in the opposition but had served as party leader for the ruling party right up until the previous administration; the third son of Sorim Group, a formidable conglomerate built on construction; and the second son of an arms broker who brokered weapons deals between the United States and Korea — every one of them a child of a famous father.

And Seong-ho had unpleasant memories of all of them from his past life.

"Ah, it's nothing. Anyway, did you come alone?"

At Gyeong-eun's question, Mi-ryeong Kim — daughter of the four-term assemblyman — glanced around and asked,

"Jeong-eun didn't come?"

"She's been busy lately…"

A bitter expression crossed Gyeong-eun's face.

If you saw your friend's husband standing right there beside her, the natural thing would be to greet him first — and instead she was asking after a sister who hadn't even come. Gyeong-eun felt almost apologetic toward Seong-ho on their behalf.

Gyeong-eun glanced up at Seong-ho's face, gauging his reaction.
