"Your Lordship!!!"

"Thank you!"

The big, burly mercenaries had little hearts in their eyes.

I'd fed them well for several days.

Just as I'd expected, the points came pouring in.

Feeding them when they were starving had paid off in precious points.

I traded the useless gold coins for the goods in Jerome's wagons.

The wagons were loaded with an amazing variety of things.

Liquor, flour, leather, spices, salt, cloth, more liquor, dried meat and fruit, seeds—you name it, it was there.

I wanted those wagons.

I'd have to negotiate with Jerome soon.

"Everybody bring me your broken weapons. I'll fix them today~."

"Huh? Y-Your Lordship, you can repair them yourself?"

"I made all of these."

"Whoaaaaa!"

"Your Lordship, you're really something!"

"It's free, so bring them in, no worries."

"You got it!!!"

— Mana points acquired.

Once their goodwill was high, even small favors made the points drop in.

I'd raked in points when I healed the mercenaries the orcs had wounded, too.

The lesser healing power from Arsio, the Saint of Healing, was a truly insane ability.

If I gathered internal energy and shouted "Heal!", most wounds closed right up.

I saw it with my own eyes and still couldn't believe it.

Back on Earth, combined with Hua Tuo's acupuncture, it would make one hell of a combination.

That made me all the more impatient.

I wanted to rack up points fast and get back.

I kept worrying about how fast time was running.

I'd spent a long while here, but I hadn't been able to stop worrying about Vivian's safety.

If I said I'd forgotten that too, I'd be lying.

I was just trying hard to act like I didn't care.

All I could do now was save up the points to get home.

And I made a vow.

The mercenaries are customers! Customers! And the customer is king!

I had to treat them right, feed them plenty of good stuff, and earn more of the points I needed.

"Y-Your Lordship!!!"

Just then, the mercenary on watch on the wall called out urgently.

"What is it?"

"It's..."
