Pan Yucheng laughed. "Never thought I'd see you scared."

Ning Chen rolled his eyes. "Obviously. If a master above the ranks altogether had his eye on you, wouldn't you be scared?

You don't fear the thief who steals; you fear the thief who's got his eye on you. Face to face, I'm not afraid of him... But I'm out in the open and he's in the dark, and a hidden arrow is hard to guard against."

Xiao Yanxi broke into a smile. "Don't treat me like some delicate, helpless girl. I'm Young Master Music of the Great Beginning Pavilion. I'm somebody in the jianghu... Relax, I came the whole way across the rooftops.

But you—you're amazing. You really killed Leng Wenyan."

Ning Chen looked smug. "I told you this risk was worth taking."

Xiao Yanxi was about to say something when her face suddenly changed. She stared at his chest. "You—you're hurt?"
