Kang Luo was so furious his lungs nearly burst.

But he knew full well this was no time for anger.

Ning Chen must have laid nets in the sky and snares on the ground for him. (TL Note: "Nets in the sky and snares on the ground," an idiom for a trap with no way out.)

Yue Congyun had made her move.

Thirty-odd cannon were pounding the Nanyue army's rear.

Boom, boom, boom!!!

Cannon fire burst among the packed troops. Men and horses went down together, and flesh and blood flew.

The Nanyue army was stunned and thrown into confusion.
