Chapter 1230: The Heavenly Song Returns, and So Does She

What can a man get done in the time it takes a stick of incense to burn?

For an ordinary person, probably nothing very impressive. Though if he happens to be a quick-draw artist well versed in the performing art of Teacher Cang, one go at himself would fit comfortably inside it.

But that stretch of time — a little long, and yet not very long at all — put in the hands of a power on Yue Yang’s level, was enough to tear down heaven and earth and flatten a few dozen mountains without any trouble whatsoever. Weiguang’s planet avatar had been insufferably impressive a while ago, able to grind a mountain to powder with one finger. Now that Bingyin the Qilin girl had used the Seven-Colored Treasure Light to shrink it into a headless puppet of about ten thousand meters, its luck had finally run out.

Especially with a giant big loli, Xiao Xiao’en, carrying both Vajra and Colossus into the fight beside him.

The moment Yue Yang had sent the weakened Bingyin back, the first thing he did was summon the Yinglong out of the ground where it lay buried.

The black shadow did not dare move at first.

She was thoroughly wary of Bingyin — but now that she saw the Qilin girl leave, her appetite for the fight came back.

“The Qilin is the sacred one among the East’s immortal beasts, and it happens to break this old woman’s plague-shifting art. Unfortunately she is still a sacred beast in her infancy. If she wants to hold this old woman down, she has a long way to go yet.” She knew perfectly well that Bingyin’s exhaustion had come from suppressing Weiguang and had nothing to do with the plague-shifting art at all, but that did not stop her preening about it.

She had met an Eastern immortal-clan being that was her natural predator, come away without a scratch, and forced the other side into weakness and retreat.

Think about it.

It was an enormous honor.

In the whole Heavenly Realm, how many people could claim a distinction like that? An infant immortal beast, admittedly — but a Qilin of the immortal clans all the same.

The black shadow flew across the sky at speed, and with a few shakes of both hands sent hundreds and hundreds of obsidian shockwaves down as thick as raindrops, straight at the top of Yue Yang’s head.

“Old witch, your opponent is me.” At some point a girl had appeared beside Yue Yang, and the moment she did the whole land turned into a sea of flowers. Ground that the shockwaves had wrecked past recognizing was covered in blossom in an instant, with fragrance drifting over it, as lovely as the elven flower-seas out of legend. She was, of course, the beautiful Flower Goddess who commands every plant-type living thing in the world: Duoduo.

The obsidian shockwaves came down as thick as rain, with Yue Yang’s body at the center of them.

Duoduo tipped her head back.

And she raised a hand.

Every one of those obsidian shockwaves turned into flower petals and came drifting down in all their colors, with no killing power left in them at all.

Pandora, who had lapsed back into her natural blank state, was still turning it over with some confusion. I have a sister? I don’t have a sister. I have a sister? I don’t have a sister…

By the time Yue Yang had fused into one body with the Yinglong as it broke out of the earth, the giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en had long since launched her charge, and she slammed into that enormous body before Weiguang’s shrunken planet avatar could reach the ground.

A thousand meters of Titan, meeting an enemy ten thousand meters tall head-on.

The force of it was on the order of a planetary collision.

More terrible than ten thousand volcanoes going off at once — and even a planet avatar as strong as Weiguang’s had a great slab of rock knocked clean off it.

The shrunken headless avatar took a deep dent in the ribs where she hit… and in the moment it smashed down into the earth, Weiguang understood something. This Titan loli, with two immortal powers laid on her, could ignore his pressure entirely. Divine-sense shock and suppression did nothing to her at all.

At least, not until he got his original form back.

That Seven-Colored Treasure Light.

It did not only have a terrifying power to compress. It also had the particular quality of connecting and joining with immortal powers of its own kind.

Which meant that so long as the Seven-Colored Treasure Light held, there was no point trying to press down on or shock a Titan loli carrying Vajra and Colossus. There was exactly one way left to beat her: force against force, using strength greater and more savage than hers to beat this Titan loli to death outright.

That was the only possibility.

That, or pull his head in like a turtle and defend, and wait out the Seven-Colored Treasure Light’s duration, and once he had his planet avatar back and his unrestricted state with it, swat this Titan loli flat with one hand.

If Weiguang had been Zhonghua, or Ji Wuri, he would probably not have minded the second option.

Unfortunately, Weiguang was a god.

An evil god, but a god.

He had supreme self-respect and supreme pride. Pull his head in like a turtle and refuse a fight, in front of a Titan loli? That was not him.

“Get away from me.” Weiguang’s reactions were as fast as reactions get. The ten-thousand-meter headless avatar had barely struck the ground when, a second later, he had it brace both hands against the earth, roll three times, and come up with both feet planted. Looking down from that height at the giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en still charging madly at him, he put out one arm, opened the hand with the missing thumb, and pressed it down at her.

Ten thousand meters of body bearing down on a thousand meters of Titan loli.

Weiguang had every confidence.

Ten to one.

That was an absolutely uncrossable gap — and on top of it, what supplied the planet avatar was endless and undefeated divine power.

“Rrraah!” The giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en charged all the way in and was pinned under that fingerless palm, and her meteor of a charge checked hard. Her feet drove deep into the rock and she was buried to the knee in an instant. Barring accidents, in two seconds Weiguang would have her pressed down into the ground. But just as Weiguang was congratulating himself, Xiao Xiao’en let out a shout that cracked the sky, and a strength came out of both her arms that Weiguang could not believe. She seized that fingerless giant palm, turned, swung her hips, and threw a beautiful shoulder throw that put all ten thousand meters of Weiguang’s headless avatar up into the air and slammed it down in front of her.

Before the astonished Weiguang could react, the giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en turned again.

Both hands gripped that thumbless giant palm and wrenched with everything she had.

The other four fingers.

They came off, every one.

And the palm and the wrist with them, crushed and twisted into deformed shards of rock.

Weiguang was beyond furious. He put a leg out and kicked Xiao Xiao’en away, then dug an enormous slab of rock several thousand meters across out of the ground, raised it over his head, and prepared to bring it down hard on the giant big loli’s skull.

The Yinglong arrived, one body with Yue Yang, and came in fast.

That earth-splitting tail swept around.

It lashed the left knee of Weiguang’s headless avatar, and there was an enormous blast on the instant. The half-shattered knee could no longer carry the weight of the headless avatar, and the slab it was holding overhead never got thrown — it came down hard on Weiguang’s own head, and he had brought it on himself. The giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en kept coming, went into a long slide from well out, and put both legs squarely into the headless avatar’s ruined ankle… and the Yinglong under Yue Yang turned over in a tight arc and dove in with perfect timing, and the dragon’s mouth opened, and the Orange Vast Radiance drove straight into that burst knee.

Weiguang smashed the rock off himself with a heavy punch, then swept a hand and turned the pieces into a meteor rain and fired it at the Yinglong.

As for the giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en, the Vajra shell let her ignore the meteor rain entirely. She gave a tiger’s roar, tore a jutting mountain peak up out of the ground herself, and drove it viciously into the knee that was ruined and still not quite severed.

At last, after strike upon strike, the knee came away from the headless avatar.

Weiguang let out a roar of pure frustration.

Losing a finger had barely affected his fighting power. Losing the head had cost him only a little. Losing a hand had cost him a great deal. And now he had lost the leg he stood on — with a Titan loli and a Yinglong attacking him like lunatics, could he really keep this up?

Never mind anyone else. He was not sure of it himself… and worst of all, what Weiguang was good at was bullying the small with the large. Against an enemy nearly his own size, the headless avatar was not producing a ten-thousandth of the power it should. Yue Titan driving the Yinglong had already been cunning enough and hard enough to shake off, and now there was a Titan loli who could not be hurt on top of him.

“You think this alone is enough to affect my fighting strength? Ridiculous.” Weiguang gave up on fighting as the planet avatar. It was the way that cost him least, but the situation had changed and he made a new choice.

The headless avatar fell heavily to the ground.

It threw up a hurricane.

Smoke and dust everywhere.

Before the dust had settled, a golden light shot up into the sky, and for the first time Weiguang appeared in front of Yue Yang in his divine statue golden body.

When it stood in front of him, the transmigrator was astonished to find that this evil god’s divine statue golden body was enormous — several times larger than the Solar King’s or the mysterious man’s had been. A divine statue golden body of more than two thousand meters makes anyone who looks at it feel low and small, and even Yue Yang, in front of something with power like that, felt a suffocating tightness in his chest.

“Fighting you in the divine statue golden body — now that is bullying you.” Weiguang put out a hand and swept it casually, and the giant big loli Xiao Xiao’en, charging him, was flung tens of kilometers away.

He put out the hand again and caught the Yinglong by the tail, and Yue Yang could not get it free however hard he tried.

Weiguang whipped it down at the ground without any particular interest.

Heaven and earth shook together.

Yue Yang felt the dizziness coming in waves.

If the Yinglong had not been permanently fixed — if it had been one of the other hovering motherships built out of God-Slaying Mystic Metal — it would very likely have split and come apart already, or shattered outright on the spot.

“You are not divine-tier at all. Whatever you do, it is not possible for you to fight me. Below the divine tier everything is an ant, and in front of a true divine tier, a true god like me, you have no chance whatsoever. Do you still not understand?” Weiguang’s divine statue golden body put out a foot and kicked lightly, and sent the whole headless avatar up into the air and flying tens of kilometers, to come down on top of Xiao Xiao’en just as she was working her way up out of the ground.

“I can beat you. I can beat you. I’m the one who really comprehended destruction, creation and eternity…” Yue Yang’s mind was swimming, but the enlightenment the three little lolis had given him in the endless world was coming back to him now, perfectly clear.

“Only starting to understand it now? Too late.” Weiguang made a show of a contemptuous snort, though he did not dare take it lightly either.

Because comprehension means ascending to the divine tier at once.

And an opponent who has ascended to the divine tier.

Such a one would absolutely not go down as easily as this. Proud as he was, he had no wish to fight anyone of his own tier, even a god newly ascended — because right now he had no true body and no grimoire.

Weiguang’s divine statue golden body raised its right hand high, ready to use a right hand sharper than any holy sword.

To cut down the Yue Yang inside the Yinglong.

A hair from the end.

And then a woman’s voice Yue Yang had not heard in he could not remember how long came, as lovely as a heavenly song. “You want to kill him? Could you ask my opinion first? You look down on opponents below the divine tier — so how about you try me instead? Trust me, this newly ascended divine tier won’t disappoint you.”
